My name is Mike Salazar the owner/operator of salt2summit guide service. I am a united states coast guard certified captain, current cpr/first aid certificates and fully insured. I have twenty four years of experience as an avid outdoorsman. Fishing the world famous buoy 10 at the mouth of the Columbia River I will follow the peaks of the fish runs up the Columbia to Hanford reach and snake river. I begin fishing by staying at Vancouver, Washington near the Columbia River from late January until September. Fishing late January for Spring Chinook and Sturgeon. Spring season turns to summer run Chinook and Steelhead around June 1st, completing my year chasing the fall Chinook and Steelhead up the Columbia River to the Snake River and Hanford Reach. Along the way hitting all the good spots at their peak times, such as the Cowlitz River, Lewis River, Willamette River, Sandy River, Wind River, Drano Lake, White Salmon, Klickitat and especially the Snake River. During my 24 years I have harvested many trophys from 160 inch Mule Deer, 170 inch Whitetails to Chinook Salmon weighing over 50 pounds and Steelhead over 24 pounds.
